Aşağıda Brezilya'dan, Marcos Cordeiro Alves ile yaptığımız yazışmayı veriyorum...
Tesadüfen 90'lı yıllarda Berdel filmini seyretmiş, müziği aklında kalmış, benden müzik bağlantısını istiyor.
O yıllarda müzik yapan her Türk er kişisi gibi, ben de bu film müziklerini albüm haline getirip yayınlamadığım için ona (çok şükür saklarım müziklerimi) bir iki kayıt gönderiyorum...

I´m from Brasil and I´ve heard your music in the Berdel film. Magnific like the others. Is it possible to get the music in the film? The film starts playing the music I want.

Dear Marcos,

Berdel was released in 1990 and I could not persuade the producers to release a soundtrack of the film.

But fortunately I have kept the recordings. They are a bit too "naive" but  at the same time carry their warmth and sincerity.

We had recorded the music on a 1 inch 16 Channel Tascam Tape Recorder at the period.

I attach two of the pieces that I like.

Dear Selim ... 

You can not imagine how grateful I am for your response. in the 90's I watched the movie Berdel. The history of it is very interesting but in 24 years I  have not forgotten that his music gave me. My brother is going to Istanbul this week and logically occurred to me again the memory of the melody. Some songs seem to vibrate just as our soul. Really brings me a lot of peace, it is very inspiring and seem to hypnotize. This way you can imagine how pleased me to send both versions. You are right when you say "warmth and sincerity".

The music is in my mobile and in every call I can feel what it brings to me. Thank you.

I am a great admirer of your work, from the other side of the world.

Berdel, bir evlilik töresi. Gelin değiştokuşu. İkiz evlilik. Bir aile, genellikle yoksulluk sebebiyle, bir aileden gelin almak için kendi kızını gelin olarak o aileye verir. Gerektiğinde aradaki kan davasını bitirmek için de kullanılan bir yöntemdir. Berdel yapan aileler, akraba olurlar ve akrabalarını öldürmeyecekleri için kan davası da bitmiş olur.
